Robotics ED was started In 2009, by Scott Preston. Robotics ED is focused on teaching about Science & Technology through building robots and robot related applications.

About The Founder

Scott has run and organized the Columbus Robotics Society for the past 4 years and has written The Definitive Guide To Building Java Robots and given many talks on robotics and programming all over Ohio including:

• COSI
• Central Ohio Java Users Group (COJUG)
• CodeMash 2008 and 2009
• Columbus Ruby Brigade
• Ohio Linux Festival 2008
• New Albany High School 2008 & 2009

Scott has also coached the Grandview Middle School Robo-Cross team and has worked as a mentor to youth while in the US Navy.

Scott's company Preston Research LLC has been involved in robotics development and teaching over the past 4 years and is a member of the local Grandview / Marble Cliff Area Chamber of Commerce.
